Stridesmartrun.com ("Stridesmartrun.com," "we," "us") is operated by StrideSmartRun LLC, a California limited liability company, 1642 North Maywood Avenue, Upland, CA 91784. This policy explains what information we collect when you use stridesmartrun.com, our foot type assessment, member area, emails and related services (the "Service"), how we use it, and the choices you have.

Stridesmartrun.com is an educational service. It is not a healthcare provider, and using it does not create a doctor–patient relationship (see our Medical Disclaimer).

1. Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Account information: your name, email address and password when you create an account.
  • Assessment information: your answers to the foot type questionnaire, such as your arch shape, shoe wear pattern, where you feel pain after running, and how long you've been running, plus the foot type result based on those answers.
  • Payment information: when you subscribe, our payment processor, Stripe, collects your card details. We do not see or store your full card number.
  • Communications: messages you send us, and questions you submit for live Q&A sessions.

Information collected automatically

  • Device and usage information, such as browser type, pages visited, and approximate location from your IP address, collected through cookies and similar technologies. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site.

2. Health-related information

Your questionnaire answers, including where you feel pain and any injury history, may be health-related information. We use it only to provide the Service to you: determining your foot type, showing your educational results and personalizing your content. We do not sell it, and we do not use it for advertising.

3. How we use information

  • To create and manage your account and membership
  • To score your foot type questionnaire and deliver your results and content
  • To process payments and manage subscriptions, renewals and cancellations
  • To send emails you signed up for (tips, newsletters), and service messages about your account
  • To answer your questions and provide support
  • To maintain security, prevent fraud and improve the Service
  • To comply with legal obligations

4. Service providers we share information with

We share information only with companies that help us run the Service, and only as needed for that purpose:

  • Webflow: website hosting
  • Memberstack: member accounts, login and gated content
  • Stripe: payment processing and subscription management
  • Typeform: foot type questionnaire
  • Kit (ConvertKit): email newsletters and account emails
  • Google Analytics: site usage statistics

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We may disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or users' safety, or in connection with a sale or merger of the business.

5. Emails

You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time with the link in any email. We may still send you account and billing messages.

6. Data retention

We keep account and assessment information while your account is active, and for 12 months afterward unless you ask us to delete it sooner. Payment records are kept as long as required for tax and accounting purposes.

7. Your choices and rights

You can:

  • Access, correct or download your information
  • Delete your account and questionnaire answers
  • Withdraw consent to processing of health-related information
  • Opt out of marketing emails

To make a request, email jeffrey@stridesmartrun.com. We'll verify your identity and respond within the time required by law. Depending on where you live (for example California, Colorado, Virginia, Washington), you may have additional rights.

8. Security

We use reasonable safeguards, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and reputable service providers, to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

9. Children

The Service is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or with a notice on the site before they take effect.
