Terms Of Service

Last updated: October 16, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and StrideSmartRun LLC, a California limited liability company ("Stridesmartrun.com," "we," "us"), and they govern your use of stridesmartrun.com, the foot type questionnaire, the member area, videos, emails, live Q&A sessions and related services (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy and Medical Disclaimer.

1. Educational service only. Not medical care.

The Service provides general educational information about running, foot and ankle health, and injury prevention. It is not medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.

  • Using the Service does not create a doctor–patient relationship with Jeffrey Bruening, DPM, or with any other healthcare provider, and no such relationship will be formed through the Service.
  • Foot type results, risk information and recommendations are general, are based only on your own answers, and may be inaccurate. They are not a diagnosis.
  • Always consult your own physician or qualified healthcare provider about any pain, injury or medical condition, and before starting or changing training, footwear or orthotics.
  • If you think you have a medical emergency, call 911.

The full Medical Disclaimer is part of these Terms.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and live in the United States to use the Service. You're responsible for keeping your login secure and for activity on your account. Give us accurate information, and let us know right away if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.

3. Memberships, billing and cancellation

  • Free membership: includes the basic foot type classification and the general content described on the site.
  • Paid membership ("Perform & Protect"): $24 per month, billed in advance through Stripe, with a 7-day free trial for new members.
  • Automatic renewal: paid memberships renew automatically every month and your payment method is charged until you cancel. If you start a free trial, you'll be charged when it ends unless you cancel before then.
  • Cancel anytime: cancel from your account dashboard (the "Manage subscription" or billing portal) or by emailing jeffrey@stridesmartrun.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, and you keep access until then.
  • Refunds: Payments are non-refundable, except where required by law. You can cancel at any time and keep access until the end of the period you've paid for. The 7-day free trial lets you try the paid membership before you're charged.
  • Price changes: we'll give you at least 30 days' notice by email before changing your price.

4. Your information

You keep ownership of the information you submit. You give us a limited license to use it only to provide the Service to you: determining your foot type, showing your results and personalizing your content. We will not use your information or story in marketing without your separate written permission.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Share your account or resell access to member content
  • Copy, scrape or redistribute member videos, reports or content
  • Submit anything unlawful or harmful
  • Interfere with the Service's security or operation
  • Use the Service to provide medical advice to others

6. Our content

All content on the Service, including videos, text, graphics, assessments and the Stridesmartrun.com name and logo, belongs to StrideSmartRun LLC or its licensors and is protected by copyright and trademark law. You may use it for your own personal, non-commercial purposes.

7. Live Q&A sessions and community

Live Q&A sessions and community features are educational group discussions. Answers are general information, not individual medical advice, and don't create a doctor–patient relationship. Don't share sensitive health information you wouldn't want others in the session to see.

8. Third-party services

The Service relies on third parties such as Stripe, Memberstack, Typeform and Kit. Your use of those services may also be governed by their terms.

9. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING ANY WARRANTY THAT RESULTS WILL BE ACCURATE OR THAT USING THE SERVICE WILL PREVENT INJURY. RUNNING AND EXERCISE CARRY A RISK OF INJURY, AND YOU PARTICIPATE AT YOUR OWN RISK.

10. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, StrideSmartRun LLC AND ITS OWNERS, INCLUDING JEFFREY BRUENING, DPM, WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, OR ANY INJURY ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM.

11. Indemnity

You agree to defend and indemnify StrideSmartRun LLC against claims arising from your violation of these Terms or your misuse of the Service.

12. Termination

You can stop using the Service and cancel at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you violate these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination, including 1, 4, 6, 9, 10, 11 and 13, will survive.

13. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in San Bernardino County, California.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. If changes are material, we'll notify you by email or with a notice on the site before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the updated Terms.
